Garay dhu-na!

Write words!

Garay dhu-na!

Garay means word and dhu-na is the imperative/command form of dhu-rri which in this context means write… although it has a lot of other meanings. Together, garay dhu-na! Write words! The game below uses all the five letter words from yaama.org and gaman – so if you get a word you don’t know, this is where to head to find out! Which means it also follows the orthography (writing system) from there and the hardcopy dictionary.

It features Gamilaraay, Yuwaalaraay and Yuwaalayaay words so there is plenty to work through and make the game more complicated and complex. It does not feature any verbs in forms that would be five letters… so do not worry about verbs. It randomizes every time… so you can just keep playing.

Currently not working well on laptops but working on mobile. I will keep finessing to try and make this work across different screens.

– Hint –

Gamilaraay words really only start with ‘b‘, ‘d‘, ‘g‘, ‘m‘, ‘n‘, ‘w‘ and ‘y‘!

Corrections?

If you find a word when playing in this resource that isn’t right. Let me know on the contact form, you will hear from me, and I will let you know how I intend to make things right. I won’t always get things correct here, or in life… but I do promise I will make things right when I don’t. I will be slow as this is a labour of love. I hope these resources support your Gamilaraay language learning journey.
